He has had the car for over a year & lead me to believe he had never missed a payment-turns out what he should have said was never made one.I thought since He & I had written contract stating that he promised to pay on time- this would cover my butt.California law apperantly does not honer personal contracts such as this.I singed the loan-so the responsabilty is mine.I didnt report it stolen when I found out because even though I was very angry , I didnt want him 2 go 2 jail.He has nothing,therefore no point in trying 2 sue.Now is there any chance I can fix my credit other then paying this debt myself or bankrupcy?I had perfect credit which I had hoped to use to buy a home someday soon.Oh,4 the record I realize what a stupid mistake this was-that does not change this current situation.Does anyone have any suggestions that may help me at this point? I'm 20 years old and have a valid UK driver's lisence. As I am now living in California, I was given a 'California Temporary Driver's License'.
